LinkedOut

Chromium extension that strips LinkedIn down to the essentials — no feed, no recommendations, no notification dots — for distraction-free use.

LinkedOut removes the parts of LinkedIn that are there to keep you scrolling — the home feed, network recommendations and the notification red dots — so what's left is the tool, not the time-sink. 40+ people use it weekly.

How it works#

It works by removing those elements from the page as they load, and it goes one step further: if you try to open a distracting section by typing the URL directly, it intercepts the request and redirects you back. There's a deliberate design decision behind it — no popup, no on/off toggles. It just runs in the background, which keeps it lightweight and means there's nothing to fiddle with. Everything stays local; it collects no data.
