Path

How I actually learned this

No computer science degree. A Swiss apprenticeship, four years of shipping software inside a real team, and a lot of evenings.

  1. Aug. 2024 — PresentWork

ICT Application Specialist / Customer Care Analyst

    Delta Logic AG, Sursee

The interface between customers and development at a Swiss software company: first- and second-level support in German and French, alongside IT security and infrastructure work.

    • Contributed to the #1 Cybersecurity Score across the entire Volaris Group in 2024 — recognised with an internal company award.
    • Ran vulnerability assessments (Rapid7), phishing simulations (KnowBe4), SSL/TLS certificate management and VM administration.
    • Designed and built the bilingual (DE/FR) release-notes platform on deltalogic.ch.
  2. 2023 — PresentSelf-directed

    Hackathons & open source

SwissHacks · NASA Space Apps · Hackergarten (CSS)

Where the AI-first work happens in the open: weekend hackathons and monthly open-source sessions, building production-grade prototypes with people I have never met.

    • SwissHacks 2024 overall winner — a document-chat RAG pipeline (FastAPI, OpenAI + Pinecone) that beat 20+ teams.
    • NASA Space Apps 2024 Global Nominee with "Kepler's Horizon", an interactive educational platform.
    • Monthly open-source contributor at the CSS Hackergarten incubator since April 2024.
  3. 2022 — 2023Education

    English — Cambridge First (B2)

FREI'S Schools, Lucerne · International House Manchester

Courses taken alongside the apprenticeship, so that documentation, code review and technical writing in English are not a bottleneck.

    • Cambridge First (B2); French is a second mother tongue (DELF B2).
    • Write and review in German, French and English daily in production.
  4. Aug. 2019 — July 2023Education

    Applikationsentwickler EFZ

    Kauz Informatik Medien AG, Ballwil

Four-year Swiss software-development apprenticeship: building production web and mobile applications inside a real engineering team with C#, ASP.NET Core and MSSQL. The work was never theoretical — everything I wrote had users.

    • Built production web apps (club management, contact-tracing, HR) in C#/ASP.NET Core following the MVC pattern.
    • Shipped mobile apps (Xamarin barcode scanner, Ionic project management) and a C# WPF security toolkit.
    • "Creative, conceptually well thought-out and consistently of outstanding quality" — final employment reference, 2023.

Make

Things that fly, and the parts that hold them together

FPV freestyle quads I build and tune myself, and the parts I design in Fusion 360 and print on my Creality when the off-the-shelf version keeps breaking. Each print below went through several iterations — open one to orbit every version.

The drones themselves

Three quads I built and fly — two freestyle and one set up for racing — each running 3D-printed parts I designed myself.

One of my FPV freestyle quads, built by hand and shown here finished — a RunCam camera in my own purple 3D-printed mount, a Mamba F405 stack and TBS Crossfire on a carbon frame, with a glimpse of the bench build.

A different freestyle quad, finished and ready to fly — Velox 2207 motors, tri-blade props and green printed soft-mounts on a carbon frame. When an off-the-shelf part keeps breaking, I design a replacement in Fusion 360 and print it on my Creality.

The one I built to race — a light 5-inch quad on XING-2 Pro motors and a carbon frame. The grey top mount and camera housing are my own prints; the top part shares the design of my Fusion 360 upper mount. It flies fast and clean — only the blue antenna and VTX holders are printed parts I didn't design myself.
